Description
This high-end master bathroom remodeling project in the historic Woodley Park neighborhood of Washington, D.C., represents a total structural and mechanical transformation. Our firm oversaw every technical aspect of the project, starting with a complete gut demolition and the reinforcement of the sub-flooring to support the installation of premium large-format marble-look porcelain tiles. The renovation involved a sophisticated high-contrast design, pairing custom gray shaker-style cabinetry—including a double vanity and a floor-to-ceiling linen tower—with premium brushed gold plumbing fixtures and hardware. A primary technical focus was the shower and tub engineering, which required the installation of advanced waterproofing membranes and the rerouting of primary supply lines to accommodate a floor-mounted tub filler and a frameless glass walk-in shower. The masonry work consisted of hand-laid Calacatta-style porcelain floors and wainscoting, requiring expert leveling and laser-aligned grout lines for a seamless transition between surfaces. We executed a full electrical suite update, featuring industrial-style vanity lighting and recessed task lighting. Finished with custom-fabricated quartz countertops and architectural millwork, this Woodley Park project successfully bridges modern luxury with structural durability, significantly increasing the property’s architectural value and market appeal in the District.
